Poultry Farm Person Somerset

3 bedroom family-friendly house with council tax paid

Works van

£30,000 per annum

Shift Pattern 12 on 2 off

Essential Criteria:

Level 2 in poultry preferred

1 year of experience working in poultry farming.

NOTE You will be working directly for the farm, not through REAL Success.

Our Farm:

We are a reputable family-run enterprise operating a Poultry, Dairy and Arable farm across 1500 acres. We rear up to three million birds a year, supplying Avara Foods. Our poultry sheds are well invested, supported with biomass boilers and solar panels.

We are committed to sustainability and have both short and long term plans to reduce our carbon footprint while producing sustainable food.

Your role

As a Poultry Farm Person, your roles and responsibilities include:

• Production performance, reporting any concerns to poultry management


• Stockperson work, promoting high animal welfare standards


• Liaising with vets and suppliers


• Working with a poultry team of four and collaborating with the wider Steanbow Ltd team


• Maintaining a clean and tidy environment, adhering to biosecurity protocols


• Overseeing the management and purchase of feed and medications

You

• A full UK Driving license.


• Proof of UK right to work


• Level 2 Poultry Qualification


• Strong attention to detail who takes pride in their working environment


• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of broiler husbandry and production practices


• Be friendly and supportive


• Have a desire to develop or already have staff management experience


• Be a reliable, punctual and trustworthy individual


• Willing to embrace new ideas and technology with a passion for sustainable farming practices.
