We are recruiting for an indoor Pig Stockperson for a farm in County Tyrone, BT71.

You will join a team of four on an indoor breeding-to-finishing unit with 900 sows, fully slatted with automatic feeding and ventilation.

Job description:

• Looking after animal welfare daily


• Feeding


• Farrowing


• Moving pigs


• General husbandry


• Record keeping

Candidate specifications:

• Hands-on pig farming experience


• Qualification in agriculture would be beneficial but not crucial


• A passion for animal care


• A good can-do attitude


• Willingness to learn and progress are important


• Ideally, telehandler and tractor skills

Salary: A competitive hourly rate to be agreed

Hours:

8 hours per day, plus some overtime as required
