We have a contract vacancy for an experienced herdsperson on a family farm in North Somerset.  

 The farm has 450 pedigree Holstein cows on 3 x milking, yielding 12,500 litres in state of the art facilities comprising a herringbone parlour with excellent handling facilities. 

Cows are housed year round in sand cubicles and fed a full TMR with tractor scraping.  

All young-stock are retained for replacements and there is a full complement of experienced staff. 

The appointed person will be expected to milk every day in the shift pattern and be involved in bedding and scraping the cubicle shed, This herd is managed to a very high standard and needs to continue along this avenue. 

A fully expensed mobile home on site is available to go along with a competitive salary depending on experience.
