We are looking for an experienced herdsperson to join our family run dairy farm in the heart of East Devon.

The Farm:

We run a 240-cow Spring block herd on an extensively grazed system, with a high focus on grazed forage intakes

Calving starts in late February in a 12-week block,with the cows housed at night from November on sand and straw cubicles

Milking is done twice a day through a modern 20/40 swing-over parlour with ACRs, ADF and Auto-wash

We keep and rear all of our Aberdeen Angus beef calves on an extensively grazed system

The Opportunity:

• We are looking for a Herdsperson to assist with all aspects of the running of the herd including milking, herd health and grass management


• We serve cows for 12 weeks using Sense-hub collars, with no bulls running with the herd -AI trained would be an advantage, but training can be provided


• Seasonal work will include helping with silaging, slurry management and routine youngstock work


• This is an excellent development opportunity for someone seeking a career in grass-based dairy farming
