Dairy Farm work opportunity Herdsperson

About the farm:

• At the farm we milk 480 spring calving dairy cows, rear our own replacements and manage 400 hectares Organically. Our farming system is based upon a strong focus on soil health and high utilisation of grazed grass.


• An opportunity now exists for a reliable herdsperson to join our team.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Milking


• Grassland management


• Managing youngstock


• Calf rearing


• Farm Maintenance

Successful applicants will possess:

• Previous farm experience


• A team-player attitude


• Good communication skills


• Strong work ethic


• Interest in grass-based systems


• Drivers licence

Salary:

Dependent upon experience £22,000 to £33,000
