Purpose of Role:

This is a hands on role that will provide site-based support to ensure the successful delivery of sports pitch construction and landscape projects across the South of England.

Main Duties:

• Tractor driving - cultivations, levelling, grading, sand dressing, top dressing, etc.


• Operating plant - digger, dumper, roller and telehandler


• General labouring - raking soil, seeding


• Transporting materials, plant, machinery and equipment to site


• Turfing - big and small rolls

Key Projects for Spring / Summer 2025:

• Sports pitch construction and reinstatement in Hampshire - trenching, drainage, cultivations, levelling, seeding


• Drainage works in Hillingdon


• Dig out and reinstatement works at Chelsea Flower Show - tractor, excavator, dumper, roller, telehandler and hand work


• General paddock works


• Agricultural drainage

Key Skills:

• Technically competent with plant, tractors, machinery, small tools and specialist equipment


• Ability to communicate in a positive manner with staff, sub-contractors and clients


• Physically fit and able to work alongside site-based team


• Understanding of site-based construction activities


• Clean driving licence


• Ability to tow plant and standard trailers would be an advantage


• Understanding of sports turf construction and maintenance


• Adherence to Health & Safety procedures


• Basic computer skills


• Willingness to stay away as required
