Job Title: Experienced Farm Operator

Overview:

A well-established family-run farm in Cambridgeshire, is seeking a skilled and versatile Farm Operator with a strong background in workshop work, fabrication and machinery operation. The role offers a mix of hands-on machine operation, fabrication, and seasonal fieldwork on our large, innovative farm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Combining: Operate a Lexion 8900 throughout the summer, ensuring efficient and precise harvesting.


• Cultivation & Spraying: Conduct field cultivations and operate our new Horsch Leeb PT8.300 sprayer for pre-emergence applications. Experience in sprayer operations is essential.


• Workshop Fabrication & Welding: Perform fabrication and welding tasks as needed, supporting farm machinery maintenance and innovation.


• Winter Workshop & Maintenance: Engage in thorough servicing, workshop maintenance, and additional fabrications through the off-season.


• Groundwork Support: Occasionally assist our groundwork and building team, especially on fabrication needs. Operating our JCB 140X digger is optional, but experience is beneficial.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with large-scale farming machinery, especially combines and sprayers.


• Skilled in workshop fabrication and maintenance.


• Ability to adapt to various farm tasks and work independently or as part of a team.


• Familiarity with groundwork and diggers (preferred but not essential).
