I have worked with pigs, sheep, beef and dairy cattle. My jobs included scraping out, bedding up with straw in pig pens sand using a sand box in the dairy, injections for livestock,feeding, handling and movement of all animals, loading trailers with bales using a telihandler, assisting with farrowing and
Calving, mixing milk and feeding young-stock and monitoring health of all animals, mixing feed for dairy animals, emptying muck trailers.
I assisted with lambingwith roughly 1700 ewes and then whilst working a different job locally help at busy times, in this time i became confident in lambing a ewe independently, ringing lambs, injections for both ewes and lambs, observations of both ewes and lambs health to a high standard and resolving any problems found, herding sheep with and without the use of a dog, foot trimming sheep, use of spray-on fly strike prevention.
I also worked with asmall herd of beef animals and small herd of sheep my tasks including feeding, pushing up food and general observation of stock health.

I studied agriculture after completing a 1st year of level 3 extended fishery management and worked at Sparsholt college, although i didn't complete my course due to no longer being able to afford the cost of living away it was still very beneficial in gaining knowledge and practical experience in all aspects of agriculture. during my time studying there I worked weekends and my days off and also during the holiday on the college farm in that time I worked with pigs, sheep, beef and dairy cattle. Fencing and general farm hand for a fencing company, during my time spent working there I became confident in erecting all types of fencing including post and rail stock fencing and horse fencing to an extremely high standard I am confident in all elements of erecting a fence with modern equipment including driving a tractor, using a post basher, wire tensioning, hanging all types of gates and buildings styles. During my time I also worked with his small herd of beef animals and small herd of sheep my tasks including feeding, pushing up food and general observation of stock health.
General farm hand - during this time I worked with a herd of around 250 pedigree Holstein cows with robot milking during this time my main roles which had to be completed to extremely high standards included scraping, cleaning cubicles, bedding cubicals, care of young stock, cleaning robots, cleaning milk tank and surrounding area. Also during my time I dug out pens with a telihandler and fill muck trailer and also rolling with large equipment.
