After joining in January 2022 as an operator to assist with spreading operations for the spring season I found myself running the team after a former employee was let go, I took over running the team for the remainder of season and then took on duties running tip sites ready for the summer season and liaising with lorries to ensure all sites were completed with no issues. During the summer I ran one of the spreading teams spreading over 30,000 tons of bio solids across Wiltshire, Dorset, Hampshire and Somerset and talking with farmers and managers to ensure all farms are completed on time. This job has taught me how to be in control of a team and complete large scale operations while keeping the moral and safety of the team as a top priority but also how to work alone and think of ways to get tasks done to benefit everyone within the company.
