I previously worked as a professional engineer for 7 years within the music industry and since leaving have obtained a degree in mechanical engineering. However, having considered my options I decided to pursue a long held desire for a career in agriculture. To this end I completed the One Year Farming course at RAU, obtained my PA1, PA2 and telehandler certificates and completed a range of other useful skills courses. Since then I have worked for 7 years as an arable operator, engineer and fabricator for a busy agricultural contractor and machinery manufacturer.
