I have some 1.5 ton digger experience clearing woodland and digging. Dumper driving experience moving hardcore and soil. I have experience with tractors inlcuding general maintenance, towing trailers and all aspects of slurry spreading such as tankering, top spreading and using injectors. I also have experience in cultivation, haylege making I.e. Rowing, tedding and some baling and bale carting. I have experience in other tractor duties such as orchard mowing, topping and pulverising. I am competent in the use of loader tractors and loadals I.e. Feeding out, bedding up, loading and unloading trailers and stacking bales and barn clearances. I have also experience in scraping out cubicle houses and yards. Experience with a tractor mounted post knocker. I am not afraid of using the trusty spade or shovel!

sheep, lambing, milking, calving

I done a couple of seasons lambing of 400 ewes which then lead straight onto the next farm where there was 700 ewes, I gained a lot of practical knowledge including, wet fostering during this time and learned to spot illnesses in the ewes and lambs, I was left unassisted most of time during this period. I learned to administer some medications ie. iodine, spectrum, clamoxyl ect. and I am also competent in dealing with prolapses. Also I have vast milking experience and spotting mastitis. Also doing night checks for bulling cows. Vast calving experience checking cows that are due to calve. Also some basic pig handling skills I obtained at a small scale hobby farm.
