Livestock Foreman October 2022 to present

Day to day management of 1100 Lleyn sheep and 140 Angus/ Simmental cattle. Flock management, breeding, cull and drafting selection. Welfare management, worming, foot trimming, shearing, vaccinations, grass and cover crop grazing systems, field maintenance, indoor lambing, record keeping. Indoor calving, castrating and tagging calves and welfare management. Since starting I have input a mob grazing system and cover crop grazing through the winter months in line with the arable rotations. Alongside this role I have assisted with the shoots held on the farm, feeding the pheasants on a daily basis, assisting with beating on shoot days and dogging in the pheasants out of hedgerows in my spare time.
