Grew up on a 130 acre rented dairy and arable farm near Coventry.
Attended Shuttleworth College 1982-85. Graduated as Top Student with B/Tech ND in Agriculture.
Middle year spent working on a 1000 acre dairy and arable farm. Milking 230 cows plus followers. 400 acres grassland 600 acres cereals.
Worked for various neighbours at lambing plus grass and crop harvest time.
Returned to the family farm in 1985
Helped run home dairy herd until disbanded in 1995
Established a 40 ewe dairy flock in 1989. Was solely responsible for it's running and development. Grew to 1000 ewes by 2015. Disbanded in 2023.
Oversaw the growth of the farm from 137 to 380 acres in 2005.
Succeeded as tenant of home farm in 2010
Fully engaged with all aspects of running the farm from hands on outside to office based work
