I am 57 years young. A farmer's son who has had a career elsewhere. I consider myself reliable, hard working and trustworthy with a 'can do' attitude, very capable to learn. I have had experience with stock (lambing and calving) but not for a while, also tractor work and farm maintenance.

Other equipment experience

When I worked for my parents I regularly used tractors for tasks such as muck spreading, hay and silage mowing and turning, baling and general farm duties. I used an all terrain forklift for tasks such as muck loading and bale handling. Also a quad bike and trailer to transport sheep. I have also operated dump trucks and vibrating rollers and various small plant. I have operated tractors and other equipment on an infrequent basis over the last few decades, carting silage and the like. I don't hold 'tickets' for machinery, I've just had experience.

Other livestock experience

My parents owned a hill farm. They had a herd of 115 cows mainly Hereford Friesian crosses bred with Charolais bulls and a handful of Blue Greys and the odd Aberdeen Angus. The sheep flock was Scottish Blackface ewes and Cross ewes. I was involved in all aspects of husbandry including lambing and calving.

I left the farm when I was 20. I have retained some knowledge.
