•Assist with the making and carting of all our hay, haylage and straw bales.

•Ensuring the health and care of our 300 rare breed sheep is kept at a high standard. This includes vaccinating, drenching, bolus applicating, hoof care, dagging, all aspects of lambing.

•Daily stock checks of all sheep, pigs, goats and heavy horses on the wider estate.

•Working with estate administrator to ensure all stock records are accurate and up to date.

•Keeping records of the flock numbers and where they are grazing at all times.

•Working with breed societies and the RBST to get the best rams, boars and billy goats for our flocks/herds and diversifying the gene pools around the country.

•Selecting replacement ewe lambs from our home bred stock in accordance to breed standard.

•Working with the mineral rep to ensure the sheep get exactly what they need.
