Brought up on farms left school worked at duns hatchery. Then tree planting for Woodland Management Services got a harvest job At Howpark Grantshouse a small mixed farm then back to wms then was offered full time job where i as worked full time as tractor man at Howpark, Grantshouse till he retired.

Returned to WMS seasonally in winter also doing harvest work at Nisbethill Duns for a number of years then i got a full time job with Redpath Tyres Duns where I was on one of the service vans visited different farms across the region fixing/changing tyres till 2004 when i went self employed working sesonally through the winter and spring months planting trees and hedges till 2019 during this period i did harvest work from july to nov, Most experience gain as Harvest work for the following Farmers, Since 2019 I have been working for Prentice agriculture at Hutton Mains from cultivation, potato destoning, square baling ,bale chasing, carting grain and potatoes, top Dressing potatoes and crops ,counterbalance forklift jobs as well ad other jobs.

Also have done beating and other jobs associated with shooting.

As well as these farmers i am also a member of the Borders Machinery Ring and have done a variety of work through them from baling to soil sampling as well as tup taxi-ing at Kelso Tup Sales.

Being self employed i can turn my hand to anything and will to help, from van driving, gardens, decorating etc
