The herd of beef cows on the farm I worked on were Pedigree South Devon cattle crossed with Aberdeen Angus and Beef Shorthorn Bulls. The sheep were Black Welsh Mountain and Wiltshire Horn.
Over calving and lambing I was involved in ringing, tagging, bottle/tube feeding, we had a C-section on the farm too. Ive also done general duties like livestock checking, fencing, forking up, bedding up, moving livestock.
Ive also done fencing, livestock checking, moved livestock with a quad bike and also a dog.
I have a horse so I am competent in handling animals and understand them.

My work experience is generally based on retail, Im currently an assistant manager at BP, Ive worked for Tesco in the past too. I have a horse and have spent a lot of time on farms/yards. My start/finish times at my current job ranges from 5am-22 so I am used to starting early and finishing late. I am looking to get my HGV license too.
My reason for a career change is that I miss being outdoors, the retail life just isnt for me anymore. Id love to gain more tractor driving experience and learn about how to use different pieces of equipment.
Im quick to learn and I use my own initiative to teach myself things too.
