I was working at an estate on livestock before I left for university. I assist with my familys laying poultry unit we have 30,000 laying hens. I have experince with showing pedigree Herefords and have a few myself, I hope to grow my small herd. I have lambed 500 ewes on nights myself.

I have lambed in wales for a innovisfarm -3000 ewes. i lambed 3 flocks the beginning for 2023 - 2 indoor and 1 outdoor. The outdoor flock I lambed completely independently. I can do jobs such as lambing, but jabbing lambs, tubing, help getting them to suck, splints, turning out ewes and lambs and much more. I work on my familys laying poultry farm that has 30,000 laying hens. I have got work experince at a robotic dairy which I learnt about herd health and management. I have helped assist with calving and showing on a pedigree Hereford farm. I take main responsibility for the showing, I train the cattle and get them all ready myself. I have also got a small herd of my own pedigree Herefords that I take showing. I have dw polled calves, tagged, ringed, jabbed heifers. I have done PD testing, worming and flucking, drenched calves and have taken stock to market. Currently relief milk.

Farming background

I have worked on my familys poultry farm since 2020 doing daily husbandry tasks such as packing eggs and walking sheds. I then since 2020 have helped on a pedigree Herefords farm on busy days such as PD test sing and have helped with showing and last year I took on the main responsibility of training and got them ready by myself. I competed one year at Easton doing level 3 agriculture getting a merit. In 2022 I helped assist with calving and lambing in a commercial farm I am still in contact with the stockman today. At the end of February 2023 I went off to wales to lamb on an innovis farm, we were lambing at peek 250 a night. Then Im march I went to holkam estate to lamb there 250 outdoor ewes independtly before going onto to nights to lamb there 300 ewe indoor flock. I also in 2022 did 100 hours worth of work experince on a robotic dairy.
