Assistant Herdsperson Job in <->CANTERBURY<-> area

We require a keen and enthusiastic assistant herdsperson/tractor driver to work alongside our existing team with a strong focus on high welfare and milking standards. Key responsibilities will include assisting with the milking of our 200 Holstein cows , TMR feeding (possibly) and general stock husbandry tasks. The farm has a 10:20 herringbone parlour, ACR's, ADF cluster flush, RMH diet feeder and straw bedding machine. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to further their career in dairy farming. The successful candidate will be a competent tractor driver and have the ambition to learn about all elements of dairy  farming. They must be a good communicator and able to work well in a team. In-house training and external training provided to further your dairy career.  Accommodation available  >>> Canterbury

There is an hourly bus service to Canterbury and Folkestone, the bus stop is 5 minutes walk from farm.  We are situated 7 miles from the city of Canterbury and 9 miles from Folkestone and Dover. Canterbury is popular with tourists, has excellent shops, supermarkets and is a university town.
