Coldstream Estate is a well-established 800ha mixed sheep and cropping farm on the Canterbury plains, near Ashburton, only 1.5 hours south of the Christchurch International Airport.

We run 1600 breeding ewes including a Corriedale sheep stud. Core crops grown include barley, wheat and oats. In addition we also grow potatoes and specialist seed crops including peas, ryegrass, brassicas, red beet and carrots. 350ha of the farm is irrigated by six centre pivot irrigators.

A position is available for person to assist with our busy season from January through to April. While it is mainly a harvest position it will include some sheep and general farm work.

We are looking for someone who is careful with machinery, has a ‘can do’ common-sense attitude, is keen, willing, honest and reliable. Some experience is preferred.

The successful applicant will be well supported in the role, be provided with a tidy farm cottage, fair remuneration package, enjoy a great Kiwi summer and some travel time to explore our wonderful country.

Current drivers licence. Good English speaking skills. Valid NZ Working Visa (working NZ holiday visa is preferred). Start and end dates are flexible.
