There is an opportunity to join a friendly team on a family owned farm in a beautiful area. The rearer must be competent with vehicles tractors and telehandlers as they will be responsible for collecting milk from parlour in a milk taxi, collecting calves in a trailer, bringing straw etc to the calf unit from storage. Feeding is by a milk taxi/pasteuriser with delivery hose - no buckets to carry. Between calf rearing duties, the rearer will assist with cubicle routines and ideally, preparation of tmr feeds and feeding out of same using telehandler (manitou) and sheargrab/bucket and Fendt tractor/ RMH mixer/feeder. You would be expected to assist with maintaining high levels of care/accuracy in clamp management/ feeding/feed records.

We operate on a 12 day on, 2 day off rota. You will work alternate weekends. A generous package is available including accomodation. You will be expected to supply references and we will contact referees. Accomodation is available.
