Happy to contribute ideas -We are a friendly team who are constantly striving to improve the farm business. We would therefore expect the candidate to contribute to ideas and question reasons behind how jobs are carried out with a desire to improve practices.

Understand the big picture – looking beyond the immediate job to understand the business consequences of taking shortcuts or doing a bad job.

Brain first, then brawn – thinking carefully about the work you are about to undertake, keeping safe and out of danger.

On time and paying attention – farming is a timely and potentially dangerous occupation – it is essential the candidate is a good time keeper and remains alert and focused on the job in hand even when it is repetitious.

Look for the positive in work – we like to work with people who enjoy their work and we will support the candidate to help them achieve this. A ‘glass half full’ attitude helps us do this!

Empathy with the countryside – conservation and public confidence in farming is important to the business.
