Stockperson for Beef & Sheep on family farm <->Glos/Worcs border<->

We are a family farm looking for an experienced stockperson to start this Autumn on the Glos/Worcs border.  General farm work to be included with ideally telescopic handler qualifications.  Due to a change of policy we are restocking 700 acres of grass and your priorities will be looking after the Beef Suckler herd and we plan to lamb 750 ewes in 2019.    We would hope you have your own well trained dogs and dog kennels will be provided.  There will be a farm vehicle provided for use on the farm and you will need to be proficient in handling & looking after a quadbike/tractor/telehandler.

This is an exciting opportunity to join with us in making livestock the hub of the farm again.

Accommodation in either a family home or smaller cottage will be available on the farm.  In neighbouring villages there is a good local children's nursery, a very popular playgroup in another and three village primary schools.   Secondary schools are in Evesham, Tewkesbury,  Cheltenham or Winchcombe.  The local village shop & post office is 1.5 miles from the farm with plenty of lovely country pubs in surrounding villages.   We have a bus stop at the bottom of the lane, half a mile from the farm.  Larger shopping centres are in Worcester or Cheltenham.  There are excellent employment opportunities for partners in local towns with Evesham or Tewkesbury being about 6 miles away & the M5 providing easy access to Gloucester or Worcester.

There is a Tennis club in village one side of us and three thriving local cricket clubs within 4 miles of us.

The local doctor's surgery is 5 miles from us in a village location.

We live in a beautiful part of the country and look forward to finding a key person to help us achieve our goals.
