  1. How much does it cost to advertise on 4xtrahands?
    • £110+VAT for one month
  2. How do I pay?
    • By credit or debit card.
  3. Will I need to pay 4xtrahands any more money after I have found a new member of staff?
    • No you pay a one off fee of £110+VAT. A repeat of the same advertisement is £80+VAT.
  4. I am a member of a ‘Buying Group’ what do I do?
    • Fill in the group and your account number on the registration page we will invoice the group.
  5. What happens when my job goes on line?
    • Applicants CVs, with their contact details will arrive in your email in-box.
  6. How do I get to find out about other people with CVs on line?
    • Once your job is live, look at the CV list http://www.4xtrahands.com/list_cvs.php  - using the ‘Contact’ button, send us the reference numbers of any you are interested in. You will be sent the full CV, referees and contact details.
  7. Will applicants know my address?
    • No they will only see your job number and area. All your contact details are hidden.
  8. How much checking do 4xtrahands do on applicants?
    • Using the information  put on their CV, we check they are eligible to work in the UK. We also demand referees names with telephone numbers. It is up to the employer to do other checks.
  9. Does 4xtrahands get involved with PAYE and NI contributions?
    • No, employers are responsible for paying and sorting out employment details.
  10. Does 4xtrahands dictate what applicants should be paid?
    • No but we do not knowing advertise jobs below the minimum wage.
  11. Do I need to check references?
    • YES – YES - YES. Always phone the referees.
  12. Do I have to provide accommodation?
    • For harvest and short term work - you will get more applicants if you do. For a permanent position it helps or you need to advise them of availability in the area.
  13. Can I employ any member of the EU?
    • All nationalities, except most Bulgarians and Romanians who cannot be employed on farms until 2014.
  14. Is 4Xtrahands Ltd obliged to put every job online?
    • No.
  15. What else should I consider when writing an advertisement?
    • Point out the advantages:  The suitability of your area, the accommodation, accessibility and local facilities.
